In Collaboration with Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club

What We Offer

Virginia First Responder Support Services (VFRSS) and Thin Line Wellness & Recovery are proud to partner with Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club to provide culturally competent mental-health and wellness support tailored specifically to the fire service and biker community. We offer FF/EMS-informed care that understands the culture, the calls, and the unique stressors Fire & Iron members face. Together, we’re committed to strengthening resilience, improving access to trusted resources, and supporting the emotional well-being of those who serve.

  • Ben “No Gas” Thompson, a 30+ year firefighter and dedicated member of Fire & Iron Station 79 and Virginia State representative, is proud to serve as a peer support resource for his brothers and sisters in the club. Through his work with Virginia First Responder Support Services (VFRSS), Ben offers confidential, culturally competent support focused on the unique challenges faced by firefighters, EMS providers, veterans, and their families. His mission is simple: to make sure no member of Fire & Iron ever has to carry the weight alone.

Peer support is offered via phone call or in person and can be utilized for a variety of stressors, challenges or mental health related questions.

Please call our office at (540)755-0208 or email us at VFRSSDirector@gmail.com to set up a time to talk.

  • Fire & Iron Motorcycle Club is built on brotherhood, service, and loyalty—values that demand taking care of our own. Providing mental health resources ensures members have the support they need to navigate stress, trauma, and the unique challenges of the fire service. When we protect the well-being of our brothers and sisters, we strengthen the entire club. Providing mental health resources is an investment in the long-term strength and legacy of Fire & Iron MC. When members feel supported, understood, and connected, the entire club becomes safer, healthier, and more unified.

  • Our goal is to make this a well-rounded, helpful mental health resource for everyone. If you have suggestions or additions, we’d be grateful to hear them.
